The LAW requires that a caveat is clearly made available for potential purchasers of products that are manufactured to assist the healing of medical disorders, which are advertised and offered for sale as such, whether or not the disorder of the patient has been diagnosed by a qualified or registered medical professional. 

The seller of the product may not claim that the product can cure any disorder specified for the product, if it has not been scientifically evaluated* and proven to cure or alleviate the said disorder or illness described, irrespective of any anecdotal evidence to prove the efficacy of the product for which it is/was designed and manufactured. Even if the anecdotal evidence numbers in the thousands or tens of thousands of cases going back many years or decades, the legal disclaimer must be stated.
*The cost of scientific evaluation of a product to prove its validity may go into the hundreds of thousands of £'s sterling. (These laws were secretly engineered with government ministerial collusion by the money-oriented pharmaceutical industry, to protect their investments in disease-creating pharmaceutical drugs.)

The law considers that anecdotal evidence is unsound, unscientific and unreliable, and cannot be used as evidence, regardless of whether the data was created with scientific detail and collated over years of research and use.

Prior to the onset of the Second World War, an act of Parliament was implemented in Great Britain, making it a criminal offence for a producer of a medical product to specifically state that the product or treatment can cure cancer, (or other specific conditions). Why was such a perverse and draconian law enacted, let alone given debating time in Parliament? The answer is clear and straightforward! The vested interests of the corrupt pharmaceutical establishment, having personal connections to members of Parliament, (for financial benefit), applied their influence to bring about such an unjust and ill-founded law. The purpose? To protect their long-term projected financial interests.*  Just a few months after that particular act of parliament, the well known cancer charity of the time was awarded a massive cancer research grant. Therein lies the origination of that parliamentary act! Many other acts of parliament have been, and continue to be, anchored to a specific group or business for their financial gain.
* Media reports, going back a hundred years and more, have proven on numerous occasions, that the evaluation of particular 'scientific' research and evidence regarding the effectiveness of specific certain medicinal drugs, has been corrupted by the scientist or scientists and or medical doctors involved. This has (and is still) done for material gain.

The system, that is, the establishment around the world, made up of government institutions and bodies, government ministers (servants of the people), professional organisations, associations, business leaders, et al, have protected the transgressions of individual colleagues or associates by covering up their maleficent acts and or demoting them to obscurity. In many cases though, the criminal is promoted or elevated to a higher position, thus giving official protection to the culprits. The cover-ups may go on for only a limited period of time, or when the act was too close to public scrutiny, that a sacrificial lamb would be made. Even so, many escape justice, and cover-ups were/are made so as not to tarnish the standing of the government, profession, association, body, establishment, business or individual. Different sets of rules apply where high finance is concerned. 

With today's aid of technological development, but not least because of the increase in educational levels of peoples around the world, and developments towards personal empowerment, there are more cases of professional transgression coming to light and people demanding justice. Even then, high profile cases of fraud, murder or manslaughter, by heads of state, government ministers and heads of multinationals, are still committed to protect the corrupt system and in the name of monetary gain, continuing to the present day. Afghanistan and Iraq are but two tragic examples of American and British fraud and corruption, in stating the reasons for invasion. And for anyone who has done the research, there is irrefutable evidence and proof that 9-11 was created and orchestrated by and from within the American administration, from the highest level. The felling of the Twin Towers and building 7 were done with the use of demolition explosives. None of the planes used were passenger aircraft as claimed by the American government. The whole world were told a pack of lies by the criminals in charge in the White House and Pentagon. The evidence is irrefutable and would stand up to the highest scrutiny in a court of law. Since the assassination of President John F Kennedy every U.S. president, bar one, has been involved in cover-ups dirty tricks and murder to protect their power and monetary interests. Of all of them the current Bush's White House and Pentagon are replete with such reptiles in human skin. Blair's government is by no means an exception, and likewise Howard of Australia.

Today's politicians and businessmen increasingly use corrupt lawyers assisting them to evade justice by manipulating the meaning of laws and words, to create new interpretations, thus protecting the financial interests of their clients. This situation indicates the extent of corruption prevalent in government and international business.

High profile events of the past few years have shown the depth of political corruption around the world.  A few politicians interviewed in the media have made glancing reference to this referring to the few trusted politicians who can be counted on.  The extent of corruption in the highest places would make the average person wish they had never been born upon this planet! The writer, who had a brush with politics in 1969-70, experienced such happenings at the top level of British politics.

It would be a fair estimation of truth to say that many businessmen gain positions of influence in government for the sole purpose of power, to influence  policy-making decisions to assist their business interests. They are not there for humanities' sake! They do not get involved in politics for the benefit of society! They steer themselves into such positions for personal gain. After all, money and power is their 'business.' They go into business to make money. It is their motivation, their sustenance, their drive, their life-blood. They have to be cunning, astute and greedy, with a high degree of dishonesty, and they do it with selfish self-interest. The same goes with most politicians.

For any businessman to get involved in politics would mean that they would have to give up time,  money-making time. It would be unthinkable for them to do so without any returns! Businessmen generally do not do such things, unless there is some kind of personal gain, some benefit. It would be out of character!

However, without the progress of business, the world would not have technological advancement, with the millions of benefits to society. Business is here to stay; it is an underlying reality of our materialist-based society. It is the fundamental reason why Communism died its death in Russia, and is slowly being strangled in other Communist-based cultures!

Government policies are frequently made, having been influenced by business interests lurking in the background. Not only do businesses pay lobbyists to influence parliamentarians and government ministers to favour their cause on specific issues, but they also have representatives sitting on government committees, making policies. 

It is the big business interests, the multi-national conglomerates, that hold sway over policies of national governments! Their power has been engineered in the underground corridors of politics and business since the beginning of both. There is a wealth of historical experience to guide them. Today, in our present era, multinational businessmen are ever more astute, cunning and devious with their long-term monetary plans, its power and influence. They know that probably 99.999% of people can be bought for cash.
